May 18: Pre-season shakedown cruise

Sail, motor or row to The Kitchen.  Raft-up in The Kitchen starting around 1100.  Bring your own snacks or lunch. Pre-season afternoon raft party will be followed by the Cruise Season Kickoff Dinner at WHYC.

May 18: Cruise season kickoff dinner at the Club

Gather at the Club around 5:30pm for a cocktail.  Dinner at 6:00pm.
Order from the menu. 
 


June 5 - 7: Block Island

Dinner at The Barn on June 6th at 1800.  Dinner will be prix fixe and served family style.

June 22: A day on Fishers Island

Arrive Fishers Island around 1100.  Gather at noon on the lawn of the FIYC for a BYO picnic.  Small boat transfer available to/from shore and the anchorage and the mooring field. Those who would like to overnight aboard their boats arrive a day early or depart the following day.

July 28 - August 2: Cruise through Narragansett Bay to Martha’s Vineyard

 

July 28: Jamestown Dutch Harbor

Approximately 30 NM from Watch Hill passage.  Moorings through Dockwa.

Dinner at a local restaurant - order from the menu.

July 30 & 31: Newport

July 30th - Cruise Group Dinner in downtown Newport on July 30th. Dinner will be prix fixe served family style.
July 31st - open night

August 1 & 2: Menemsha Martha’s Vineyard

Menemsha (“Chilmark” Harbormaster on Dockwa) starts accepting reservations May 1st. They have 17 transient slips, some linear dockage space, and 10 transient moorings, only 2 of which are inside the harbor and those two are restricted to sailing vessels. Inside moorings (only) can be shared.  No formal launch service to outside moorings, but dock staff might be able to get you if they are not busy between 7a-7p.

August 1st - Dinner at the The Homeport Restaurant and Oyster Bar, to be confirmed in May. The restaurant is in walking distance from the marina. 5:30pm (cocktails), dinner immediately following.

August 2nd is an open night.

August 4th: Cruise Cocktail Hour 5:30 pm

Gather at the Club at 5:3 0pm on the lower level for a cocktail and some appetizers. Share stories for the trip east through Narragansett Bay to Martha’s Vineyard.

Three Mile Harbor Moorings - They only have 5 moorings for rent and no launch service. Need to bring your own dinghy.
 All five can be booked thru Dockwa or call 631 324-5666.  They start taking reservations after April 15th.
 
Maidstone Harbor Marina
There is a pool and a restaurant at the marina. You can book through Dockwa or call 631 324-2651 (start taking reservations after May 15th).
 
The harbor also has an anchorage area.
 Restaurants open mid-May. A group dinner will be planned. Details forthcoming.

Sept 13 - 14: Dering Harbor

Cruise Group Dinner at SIYC on Sept 13.
Contact SIYC for a mooring at (631) 749 0888 or reserve a slip in Dering harbor or Greenport at any one of a number of marinas on Dockwa.
